Amazing evening with the S

I spent Friday afternoon giving her a very good clean up, polish, wheel polish, interior clean and hoover out, blackened the tires, mirrors and bumpers.
Weather looked like it was going to rain but hey I was off to Cowes week fireworks and taking the TVR. As we entered Cowes, we saw the Red Arrow display all around us, was amazing how low they flew and wow the view in the with the roof off is amazing.
In the end, we lost everybody we knew there got annoyed and me and my mate headed off to get a drink somewhere. Now it was nighttime and gosh took the roof down again and as I drove it, it felt like I was driving something amazing. It was warm and the street lights lit up the whole car as we drove past each one, a nice polished red infront of me. It felt a really really amazing exotic supercar and I felt like a millionaire.
Eventually we went around the series of roundabouts and LO we saw a (rather nice looking) Subaru Impreza in front of us.
He saw the TVR behind and went faster and I followed and then hit the duel carriageway and he stayed in the left hand lane behind another car. I pulled out the tried to take him and he pulled out and he was just about leaving me (they are quick aren't they) but then wow he pulled in 
and let me pass and he was loving it! I think he just wanted to see and hear it go past and I then pulled in to the left again to turn left at the upcoming roundabout and slowed down and I gave my hazards a flash, he got level with me and gave me a big thumbs up. He loved it. 
Just goes to show, even though it isn't the fastest car in the world, it's so nice that people would rather watch it go past then win a race. What a great time and an amazing car.

Night drives are highly recommended. 
Like you say, there's also something nice about finding a like-minded individual out and about, even if you're in very different machinery. The best drive of my life was at about 1am following a very enthusiastically driven TR5 through the Somerset countryside (not in the S). And more recently I found myself trying to keep up with a playful S2000 (this time in the tiv). On each occasion there was a cheerful wave as parted company and it was obvious we'd both appreciated it!

Very cool. Yes the Medina Way is a great stretch of road, you can count on anybody like-minded racing you because it's the only real place on the island you can! though I haven't much myself 
Yes it's great fun when you can find other drivers like you. That's my only experience with the S so far hopefully more will follow
