Camping in France ...

I know this is a bit late (tomorrow night )and not strictly TVR S but does anyone have any good campsite references in the Pas du Nord area - near St Omer perhaps ? just passing through for one night and dont want to kip in an Aire...

Did you see Golfinger's roller parked on one of those bends towards the bottom? It does look suitably Bond villainish but good for the Tiv so when are you going again??

This was the view after about 10 miles of climbing a similarly twisty road and then the road down to Italy from the far side of this picture was as good again - I would spend my life driving back and forth on this road in the Tiv... Nirvana

I'm compiling a list of "must do" roads for a future Euro Road Trip (in the S ). Where is the road you have pictured, what's it's number etc etc....?

Looks like a good venue for S Club 2009 to me

We discovered some great roads like that in May - over in Italy just up the mountain from Lake Como. Some long tunnels too . We didn't venture over to Switzerland though.

Ha ! it was just west of Interlaken and the descent on the other side dropped down to Lake Maggiore so you werent far off Chris

Our return route from Tuscany took us through the Italian/French Alps over Col Lombardie and Col de la Bonnette at 2802 M !!! what a drive.

Its the "6" from Interlaken over the Furkapass (honest ! and its a long Furka too ) and over to Hospental.

see multimap for the general area... there were plenty of options/alternatives that looked just as good...

......and according to Google maps Interlaken is only 3hrs from Davos, which is on the end of the Stelvio pass.
