Job lot of cars for sale on ebay (38!)
Discussion
Sorry if this is a repost, but I came accross this rather odd ebay listing on another forum that I use:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/38-cars-bikes-quads-truck-bu...
Someone 'apparently' selling 38 vehicles in a job lot, including cars, motorbikes, a truck and I think even a speedboat was mentioned. It's all very strange and I assume it's some sort of scam, and his reason for selling them is rather odd as well: 'please note these are not all my vehicles, i have gathered together many friends to sell all these vehicles ,bikes ,quads, trike, truck, transporter tilt trailer, speed boat, cars as we are all going to club together to buy a plot of land with the proceeds of the sale.'
It also mentions that he wants £300 in advance from the winning bidder, so I'm assuming that's where the scam is.

all except the Honda Accord Touring have something wrong with them.
Agreed, but not many of them are worth less than '£894.19' as he points out. Must be dodgy but does get my thoughts racing - my Stag Do's in Newcastle next weekend so I could enlist my mates to drive one each back home on the Sunday!
Hmm, where would I put them all though? (Oh yeah, and where's the money coming from?!)

Did he arrive at his starting price by just dragging his finger across the keyboard?
Ha! I've only just noticed his sequential numbering in the starting price. My first thought is pikeys when I see the bit about 'grouping together to buy a plot of land'.
How many of them are nicked?!

I'm going to withhold judgement on that one for now... the 100% positive feedback, reg numbers all listed, and decent enough spelling and punctuation makes it look far more legit than many typical listings
ETA: I think a lot of them may have been acquired on the cheap from auctions, after being seized by authorities etc...

Maybe they are buying the plot of land so they can practice tarmacing it for a future pikey business venture

Good point, a lot of the repo's that go through my local auctions are that sort of thing - e.g. the Golf on fake A8 rims, the knackered Scooby's . . . The fact that there's a recovery truck too.
