Saw this on a classifieds site one evening and instantly regretted looking at the photos...

Its such a nice looking car with some interesting features...

Was rebuilt 15 years ago with a full body off repair....and painted red....Now it has been returned back to its original blue color...

Was stripped cosmetically for a respray.....resprayed and then the company went bust, so the car has sat for 5 years gathering dust...

After an eventful trip home with it on the trailer (it has swiveling casters on the back...it didnt want to stay put on the trailer) Its finaly in the garage..

Trying to decide what to do with it..

A lot of the bits are in boxes in various states of disrepair....Looks like there are several bits missing as well including...
Roof window/cloth thing
Door cards
Door glass
Door window frames
Internal handles....

...

The plan now.....clean it up, paint the rusty bits...re-wire and possibly retrim inside...and then reasemble with lots of new shiny bits if I can find them.....oh, and then go create some Co2 the best way I know how!!biggrin

I suspect I am going to need some help fiding parts and figuring out where the parts I have actually go...

Well done. Having just bought my self a project I am with you in spirit!

Is it mostly triumph based?

Yes, the engine, transmission and rear suspension are TR6 I believe.

Most of the other bits and pieces are from other cars of that era, but working out which parts came from where is almost impossible!

Look at this thread to find out where parts originally came from.

I own a 1973 2500M which I hope to have running by the end of the month and on the road by spring next year. Just about all the running gear is TR6. The engine, box and dif are the only things that are different from the 1600/3000. The windscreen's Ford Zodiac/Zepher I can't remember which off the top of my head, the handbrakes off a 70's dumper truck!
I found the TVR parts catalogue really helpfull which I got with the car but I believe is avalible from Dave Gerald? I could copy it and post it if you are stuck for a copy. I haven't had a problem getting anything for it realy.
The original seats are TVR's own and no longer availible! The seats which you have look like the originals from the photos. If you are thinking of replacing them the old one's are worth quit a bit even in poor condition!

If I can help with anything just get in touch?
