My New Favourite Country Pub
Discussion
I’ve lived in Hampshire all my life and until recently thought I had found just about all the hidden gems of country pubs in the county. But now I’ve discovered The Thomas Lord in West Meon, I’ll have to re write the books a little.
I never knew it existed until a few weeks ago when I saw a sign advertising a beer festival there. It’s on the high street and Hampshire Hooners will have driven past it numerous times as it’s just off the A32. I can’t believe I’ve not stumbled upon it before. I’ve driven through there literally hundreds of times.
They source all their food locally and you even can walk around their own vegetable gardens among the free range chickens. They also have a wood burning pizza oven in the garden and I would wholly recommend trying one.
I’ll just finish by saying I’ve no connection with The Thomas Lord. It’s just a great pub and now I’m jealous of anyone who can walk there

Will definitely have to give that one a go as I haven't been there before and its not that far from home.
Other local recommendations, as it sounds like you're not too far away, are 'The Selborne Arms' at Selborne, which does amazing food, and has an enormous fire in the winter, or The Greyfriar at Chawton, just where the A31 and the A32 meet
