Race seats

I would like to fit some bucket/race type seats, partly because the existing seats are past their best, and because when doing track days etc, the standard seats do not support correctly.
I have measured up some Cobra seats which seem to be typical, and it looks like they will be very tight. Has anyone gone through this process, and found a solution?

I used to have a Westfield and the seats in that feel roughly the same as those in the S, there is a massive choice of seats available for the 7 type cars, I reckon they would fit no problem at all !!!

What about a set of Cerbera seats? They often come up in the PH classifieds, ebay etc, are much more supportive than the standard S seats and are also more comfortable than a race seat.

I use a Cobra Monarco, which Cobra trimmed for me to match the original seats at minimal extra cost (but only in cheap vinyl). It was an easy fit without the roll-over bar, needed a bit more care once the roll-over bar was added. It's not completely straight and lined up with the wheel, but then very few car seats are.
