ZR1 prototype comes to life
Discussion
Spoke to Keith Beschi yesterday as he was getting me some bits from the US.
Firstly, if anyone had the pleasure of going to the 50th anniversary celebrations at Bowling Green, they would have seen Keith displaying a very sorry looking yellow ZR1 on a 1986 UK registration plate. As a prototype, it had suffered from being crushed by a JCB under the instructions of GM once it had served its purpose. Well, Keith has now managed to start it at Corvettes at Carlisle. There is a video on the ZR1.net.
Secondly, having experienced the 50th this year, I am considering organising a trip to the US in August 2004 to see Corvettes at Carlisle first hand. This is a three day show and according to Keith is a must for Vette fans. It is on from 27th to 29th of August 2004. If anyone fancies it or would like more info, let me know or look at www.carsatcarlisle.com
