Leighton Buzzard Meet 'n' Beer II
Discussion
OK, I can take a hint, it's the second week in September and I've not posted anything!!!!
LB Beer-n-Meet II will be of a week-day evening towards the end of September. I'm looking at three possible dates: Monday 22nd, Wednesday 24th or Monday 29th. Can anyone interested please let me know which date(s) suit them best.
Location wise, I'm pondering on either the Flying-Fox (just off the A5 at the Heath and Reach roundabout). Anyone been there and comment on what it's like? Or Grove Lock (just off the LB bypass not far from the last place).
If you feel strongly, tell me which one, or I'll just pick myself!
Edited to add: The intention is to hold these meets monthly. If I pick a date or day which doesn't suit you this time, let me know and I'll try to fit the next one round you (eg this time I'm deliberately picking a Mon or Wed to suit rsi1974). I am, of course, open to bribery (financial or alcoholic).

the only thing with Grove Lock is if you've got a low car you need to take the speed humps at an angle to save grounding - good pub otherwise!
Thanks for that, I've never driven there, 'cos it's about 15 min walk along the canal from where I live, so we tend to walk there, stagger back!!
I'll pop into the FF tonight to check the parking. Hare & Hounds had a pretty small car-park which is why I'm looking for a new home

Cant make the other 2 dates, but dont worry...if i dont make it this month i will be there the next.
There's always one awkward one who can't make the dates everyone else can!!
Edited to add which seemed to go missing before!

22nd please.
24th at college wednesday evenings
29th I will be in Scotland
This time I must remember not to get duped into babysitting when I've already arranged to go to a meet
I have heard good things about the Five Bells at Standlake? Anyone been there?

Five Bells @ Stanbridge, quality pub, quality food.
I think it used to be owned by a singer / actor at one time. It also has a large carpark
