Dave - I don't really know how I surrived without it. Sometimes it was easier than others. The worst times were when there was events and meetings going on with the Mid Essex crew. I wanted to be there and couldn't, so just somehow took my mind off it. All I can say is hang on in there Dave - it will be back before you know it!

So - what was it Mark? Did you need a new engine or rebuild? What was the root cause of failure?
Hi Roger. In the end I had to have a new reconditiond engine. A con-rod decided to go and made a nice big hole in the side of the engine block! I have also had a new clutch and clutch bearing fitted. Not really sure what the root cause of it was. Could partly have been a lack of oil pressure? At the time my oil pressure gauge wasn't working, so I didn't know what it was or if there was any there in the first place. I have since fitted a new oil pressure switch and the gauge is now reading correctly.
