Sigma 10-20mm It's not working for me...
Discussion
Thought I'd air my feelings about my Sigma 10-20mm as it does seem to be loved by everyone on here. I just struggle to take good shots with it. Am I the only one who lugs this heavy and fairly expensive glass around but hardly uses it and when they do rarely get a good shot with it? Seems when it does get an airing my shots with a less extreme lens work far better.
Anyone else share this sentiment? is it just me? I can do everything else with my 17-55 F2.8, and if I need the extra angle the subject of the image tends to loose it's punch. I've a couple more weddings coming up this summer and can't be bothered with the extra weight tbh. I'm considering getting rid of it to help fund a newer body which I'm sure would be a better use for the money.
Note - it's not for sale at the mo, so no pm's please, I've purposely left off the lens fitting so this isn't seen as a thinly veiled for sale thread. I just want to see if anyone else shares my feelings.

 mebe it just doesnt suit your style?
Its a lens that needs a certain technique to get something worthwhile out of, or a certain subject.
I use mine mostly at 10mm and you either need something intresting close up or nice sky etc. to to work hard to fill the frame with something intresting.
For a typical landscape at 10mm you get your shoes, all the foreground and a lot of ski and not much esle.
So get close, get down low, get an intresting angle, work it...
