It depends on the mod.

Some cars it works very nicely (like caterhams) other cars dont work so well so I disable it.

Is it really worth installing ?

I'm trying to just get a pretty nice feeling set up going, the best so far is the Gallardo but Im not using Real Feel, just some settings in the config file.

Only mods with realistic suspension work with realfeel, since it directly outputs steering arm force. Currently the list is quite short; Historix, caterhams, V8SC's, and possibly F1 79 (can't remember). There might be others, but i don't download many mods these days, 99% of them are completely disappointing.

The difference between realfeel and ISI ffb is startling, but you don't have to choose between the two. If you load a mod which doesn't respond well to realfeel, you can switch it out for the ISI ffb with a simple key command (ffb mixer). Personally i wouldn't bother, if a car doesn't work well with realfeel it's usually garbage to drive anyway.

For the G25 in particular, the default realfeel settings should work fine. In the windows game controllers screen, set the strength to 102% and everything else to 0 (apart from the lock, obviously).

I don't use it, which made it really annoying to find the HistoricX mod using it as default, if you don't use it you have no FF unless you remember to upgrade your car to standard rFactor FF.

I really feel no difference between the two, not if you have made the necessary changes to the PLR file. In most cases I did try the realfeel was too light.

I use a DFP not a G25 but I think I am using the default controller .ini file for it. I remember making changes to the ini file for the Momo Racing I had before, but haven't yet for the DFP and not felt I have needed to make any changes yet.

Ah cheers any way mate.
I just dont like it when some cars have a really slack feeling on the wheel, cept for drifting type of cars.

The odd thing is, by default, historix could have ISI FFB enabled without sacrificing the realfeel settings. Having any FFB multiplier does not effect the realfeel output at all, so setting it to 0 by default is a very strange choice. :/

I find that, even with optimal settings to delete the annoying rumbles, the ISI feedback is slightly behind, and that lag makes a big, big difference. Realfeels is a bit light on-centre due to the limitations of the tyre modelling, but it weights up in a more understandable fashion, and that's when you need it to be working correctly!
