I did search but couldn't find a thread on this game - just a few oblique references.

Anyone on here played it? I treat myself to an upgrade (two 8800gts) so finally have the beans to play it. After a nightmare of bugs (finally fixed by a BIOS update) I was able to play the game. Wow, although still a bit buggy overall a great game. I particularly liked the dark tone of the game and the fact that it was more like a Russian Sci-fi than a cheesy Hollywood story. £10 for a couple of weeks play is brilliant value.

I have it and it runs fine on my old Radeon X850 (unlike most games these days) but just couldn't get into it. Maybe I was just rubbish at it.

I waited 2 years for this game. It came out really quietly and I missed the release so picked it up cheap a few months after. Got stuck on it early on. Left it on top of the PC for months then went back to it and breezed through the bit I was stuck on. I'm going to have to make an effort to start again as I've forgotten the plot with having a big gap in playing it.

Its a bit buggy but still looks and plays very well.

The next one is out late August ( if the last one is anything to go by thats 2010)

Great game, but the sub quests lead you away from the main story line so when you get to the end you only get a weak ending and no way to go back and take up the main quest again.

If any of you are going to do another play through, be sure to check out some of the mods - I can recommend Float32 and Sharper Textures to make the game look nicer, while Oblivion Lost and Faiakes Mod make a large number of gameplay changes. The graphical mods I think are pretty universal, although the more extensive mods I mentioned are not compatible with each other.
