After watching the coverage of the Monte on channel 4 this weekend, it proves that they can produce excellent programmes. As for Penny Mallory, give her the correct vehicle, and she will deliver the goods. Hip Hip etc.

Full Marks to C4 for having the cojones to stick a couple of hours worth of motorsport into the evening schedules.

I sure beats the BBC's lame 15mins review of each WRC event.

9/10 to C4 for their coverage. Dare I say it was more interesting than F1? Less corporate speak and more action. Keep it up.

But please drop that awful drum and bass version of the Pearlfishers.

Pretty impressive I have to say.

What I thought was the best bit was that the drivers and team personnel seemed happy to speak to the interviewers - more so than in the past. Maybe that's a product of the work Dave Richards has put in behind the scenes to make the overall package more watchable ??

Yup, it's been good solid watchable stuff hasn't it? Even Penny M seems to have dropped that irritating SHOUTY style of presenting that seems de rigueur on Drivel.

Am the only one who thought Robbie Head ate all the pies?

do you check all the guys out gee?
i think it would be a crying shame if Loeb was penalised, only his second wrc event and he wallops people like McRae by three minutes......unfair that he should feel the brunt of Citroens mistake...

No, I leave that to your Dad.

It's just that I was watching the coverage wondering who the fat stranger was to the right and what he was doing in the show. When they said it was Robbie Head it took me aback. Rally driver? Looked more like a truck driver.

I agree excellent coverage. Leon B will be penalised I suspect citreon will withdraw their appeal. Its a fairly open and shut case, tyres were changed at a fuel only point. It sounds harsh and its a shame for Leon but the rule is there to stop people changing tyres after a wrong choice. I'm sure he will win another rally this season.

I was in Corsica for the ralley, and the french teams weren't allowed any points. Whats that all about?

They weren't competing for the full season and weren't, therefore, eligible for manufacturers points. The drivers could, however, still score points for the drivers' championship.

Excellent Coverage but can C4 sustain interest during the crucial hour on saturday when everybody is normally out?

Good point - I saw it on Friday but was out on Saturday.

They should have a 'hangover' repeat on Sunday mornings - about 11:15 after the Archers and before the Grand Prix (when the season starts).

Errr what a life style!?

Amen - great WRC coverage for a change. Much better than the F1 dross that ITV have been churning out. I only watched it for the Murrayisms, and he's gone now...

Now here's a fact for you rally fans....Mr Andrew Cowan, manager of the Mitsi rally team lives next door but one from me ! He's a smashing bloke, and a complete Pistonhead. He drives a 3000GT. Highlights so far included Mr Makkinon popping round for dinner a few years ago when the RAC was at Silverstone for the time trial stuff, and he turned up in his works Evo !! I thought the world was ending, until I looked out of the window.....

Has anyone looked at the World Rally Virtual Spectator stuff? Looks stunning, can't wait to see it when it goes live. Time to jam up the E1 at work watching rallying.....

Must admit that I thought Penny M did a good job.

Shame for Loeb but remembering Citroen protesting the Monte winning Mini for having incorrect headlamp bulbs I can't help thinking what goes around comes around even if it takes nearly 40 years.
