Basic tools are all that's required to service a mini. A good set of imperial spanners, a set of feeler guages and spark-plug socket will get most things done. A chain-wrench or other oil filter removing tool is better than a screwdriver and hammer. A brake adjustment spanner with the correct square ends is a bonus, unless the corners have already been rounded off........
AP calipers are standard fitment on minis. The discs should be gently cleaned up of rust with scotchbrite or fine emery paper, then de-greased with thinners or white spirit.

and the bandages for the gash in the head from the bonnet catch!
Oooh, if I had a pound...
Why I have bonnet pins, take bonnet off first, trip over it, then gash head on concrete you see
Brake discs are very cheap for minis, I paid £18 for a set of discs and pads, not the best in the world but do the job.
