Always use to find them behind a bar and were so nice in a packet of crisps.
Does your local have them?

that is the curse of yate's / wetherspoon/etc etc!

need to find an old fashioned "local" pub - they might still do them - although I don't know anybody who likes them except me (hence I was happy to find in the chippie!)

My local still them. Apart from crisps and pork scratching they are the only food available. Can't beat a pickled egg in a bag of marmite crisps all washed down with a pint of Harveys IPA.

the more 'traditional' pubs still tend to have them, but most up of the pubs have gone upmarket now with upmarket packets of crisps and upmarket prices.

there are still a few pubs that haven't been hit with the upmarket trend but they are getting few and far between.

Yup.

The Fighting Cocks in Oakengates still sells them. Eat with a bag of ready salted crisps.

Top job!

The Manor Hotel in Alconbury (Cambs) has them, but it's a long way for you to travel.

I struggle to find a proper pub at all down my way, let alone one that does proper bar snacks and offers proper homemade pub grub.

Fish and chip shop yes, but it's seemingly a dying trend in pubs.

They had them in a bar I used to go to in Waterbury, Connecticut (work not pleasure). These were extra big pickled eggs called "Screamers" smile

I make pickled quails eggs around Christmas time. Very easy to do. Hard boil and pickle in white vinegar.
