Hi all,
Apologies for my first post being business related, but I am looking for someone to do a few photos for us. I have looked through some of the many threads in this section and love the style of some of the pics, so I know which type of shots I'm looking for.
All photos required will be of will be of supercars. One shoot is upcoming in a week or so's time in Lyndhurst, with the possibility of another a few weeks later in North Hamphire.
Those of you that do this more for a hobby than a business might be better suited as we are (as always) trying to keep costs as low as poss - However, its possible that I can provide transport down to the shoot and back in one of the cars.
Hopefully someone can PM me or reply with the type of pics they can provide us with.
Thanks in advance

So with your very first post you come on here and expect somebody to work for free?

Chutzpah, if nothing else.

I think they seem a bit harsh also... I would have thought that a load of us would have jumped at the chance even for a bit of experience and to get some portfolio pics?

Why does everyone want everything for almost free nowadays, it really hacks me off. All these photography "competitions" with their dodgy "we own full copyright" t&c's who are just looking to build up their stock library, people wanting "help" with their websites (well, a fully built site from scratch actually).

Photographic gear and the tools involved is pretty damn expensive. Don't abuse those with such skills. Would you phone Jack Vettriano and say "hey mister, fancy painting me a small sketch mate, I'm a bit short on cash but I can make good coffee?".

He didn't say free now did he? I would guess that quite a few people who are not pro would do it for virtually bugger all in order to gain experience and to get themselves some decent shots from the excercise.

I've spoken to Chalkyman. Genuinely nice chap, I'm fairly sure he didn't mean to rub people up the wrong way.

Anyhow, we've talked and come to an arrangement (tbc) which suits the both of us very nicely.

Indeed, it was a fair question; we just seem to get a lot of them. If I was a newbie interested in photographing cars I'd have signed up.

Got to agree, some bloody good stuff on that site dean, very impressive mate!

Anyone remember the fella up in scotland with the helicopter, offering a free ride and trip round the highlands in return for some prints. Similar thing, best thing about photography is payment doesnt always have to be in cold pound notes.

Photos and memories are a brilliant currency to deal in!

The blue VX belongs to a friend of mine.

Mine is the silver one in Dean's pics.
