Elvington, noise test.
Discussion
Martyn, 119db is a hell of a lot louder than 103db; db is a logarithmic scale so you are more than two and a half times their sound limit. I don't know how strict Elvington is these days, they weren't bothered last time I was there a few years back but I am aware that they had issues with the council last year and at that time they were testing and rejecting cars.
I think you need to add more wadding and modulate the gas flow at the tail pipe. The latter can be surprisingly effective, channelling the gas through several short narrow tubes at the tail pipe exit can halve the db level.

Mart how did you test the db as i would like to do the test on my jeep for when ive got it on the road, As when i drive through saltburn past the plod shop i dont know weather it would be better free wheeling, turning the engine off or simply take a detour
surely the thing to do would be to drop it down and pull a wheelie

Good luck on Sunday Mart, a couple of my mates are running their Supra's down there too. Are you going down Adam?
