Nice photos. Like the F430 ones. Not sure about the F40 driver's hair style! Congratulations on your 1000th post!

+1

However I do like the look of the last 430 with desaturated colour maybe if you brighten the colour in the car I think it would look das-good?

haha, what would you suggest the ideal situation is for the 50? I tried doing comparisons with the 17-85 but the quality seemed fairly similar. Is it just because of the wider aperture so ideal for low light?

Ideal for low light, or for giving you OOF backgrounds. Cracking little lens, don't ever let anyone put you off using it.

Does that rule still stand where those people can take any of our photos on here free of charge, or something along those lines?

No that got removed from the site T&Cs. At the end of the day, if someone puts their mind to it they can remove your watermark anyway, crop the image, tweak the colour and claim it's not yours.

If you want them for advertising purposes, I would go with something consistent and small like the ones nick_bbb uses, e.g. on this thread

I suppose it is good advertising, but it isn't so much a watermark in most pics, more a very obvious block of text that distracts the eyes.

I'd make it smaller and more transparent, all imho of course.

Much better!

Must admit the first thing I saw when I looked at the shots was the very large web address. It's good that it's there, but it shouldn't be overpowering - the most recent shot (of the dials) is just right, in my very humble opinion!!

I love the shots, byt he way. I think the spot colour of the manettino switch (That's what it's called, right?) works, but perhaps not so in the car shot.

Also like the desaturated look of the portrait shot.

Which 50mm do you have - the 1.4 or 1.8 ? I have the 1.8 and think it's fantastic!!!

edit; see...!...biggrin

Totally agree. Some great shots there Leighton. BTW any news on your 40D and what day are you thinking of coming to the Motor Show?
