headlights

Can`t find my bible, tried the search facility with no luck, am I gonna get slated for asking this? how do I change a headlight bulb? main beam on one side has gone.

Remove the trim from the headlight, 3 Screws (I think)_ secure the unit in the holder, slacken these and twist the Glass unit untill it unhooks from the back bowl, Lamp connection is then accessible via a spring clip. The above is based on mine , I am assuming it is standards but may have been changed even so they're all pretty similar. The chrome ring sometimes has a screw at the 6.0 clock position.
When youve read this you will probably remember it anyway.

Jackpot, I haven`t had the lights apart so I didn`t know I do now.

Dead easy (especially when compared to modern cars), but bear in mind that some of the screws contol the beam angle adjustment. You should (depending on which lamp is fitted) be able to get the bowl out without disturbing the adjustment.
