Watched this at the weekend with the other half and thoroughly enjoyed it - had been looking forward to it for over a year since seeing the first trailers, and it certainly showed Pixar's skill to their best technically wise.

The OH wasn't looking forward to it so much but came out raving about it.

Story was strong, not quite Monsters Inc or Nemo strong, but its a completely different type of story (IMHO) and I loved the simplicity of the story itself.

WALL-E is a very very cool little robot, and I want one biggrin

Anyone else seen it and what were your thoughts?

Waaaaaaalleeeeee!

I really want to see it. Looks to be fantastic.

Might wait for the OH before I see it though. Stupid woman...

Watched "The Pixar Story" documentary last night.

Very, very interesting. I have more respect now for Steve Jobs as a businessman than I ever have (and I respected him before). Balls of steel. He lost money steadily (a million dollars a year) until the time was right. Raised $130million at IPO and could negotiate with Disney as an equal at just the right time. Phenomenal.

I'll be looking forward to WALL-E when it gets to Sky Movies.

Saw it Sunday, absolutely loved it.

How they managed to convey such a massive range of emotion through just Eve's eyes was utterly amazing.

When I said I wanted to see it my Dad said I was stupid.

But then he's never seen Finding Nemo either so nuts to him!

(Got to see Dark Knight first though).

I loved it.
Me mum and sister loved it.
My lad (6 years old) loved it. He's now got a Wall-E toy ...

But the girlfriend and her daughter (7 years old) didn't like it.

Its probably got the strongest, best told story of anything Pixar have done so far.

However I'm having a good giggle at the thought of lardy americans sitting in theaters chucking down huge shakes whilst watching the slightly lardier future humans doing the same on screen. And not quite getting the link ....

It definitely didn't make me feel ANY emotions. Cos I'm a chap, and chaps don't get emotions *puffs out chest*

There may have been a small man-tear towards the end...

I thought it was good. On the train afterwards there were about 10 kids with the remote control Wall E. I secretly wanted one.

I took wife and daughter to see it on Sunday. I thought it was 'okay' but nothing to rave about. in fact I reckon it is an environmental message packaged for kids....

Worst part of the movie was some young toe rags making noise and talking continuously all the way through. Just before the end I'd had enough and stormed over and told them to shut the f*** up. They denied making any noise, and as I stalked back to me seat I suddenly thought that maybe I'd bked the wrong crowd. Oops frown

No, you don't. You'll come home to find everything's been compacted to 1'x1'x1' cubes. Not handy.

I thought it was amusing when he gave Eva the Rubik's Cube and she handed it back to him completed. Nice touch from Pixar, there.

We were meant to be seeing it last weekend, but some friends altered their plans and had a knock-on effect on ours! So hopefully we'll see it sometime this week.

We've already bought our remote control WALL-E - very cute! smile

We watched it over the weekend and thought it was fantastic. The simplicity of the story and the way they 'communicated' without talking was amazing.

Did anyone notice how good the graphics were? Especially the buildings/rocks etc.

Thought the CGI was fantastic.

Watched it yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, some very subtle clever jokes and a good story to boot.

Saw it with the wife and kids at the weekend. Really enjoyed it and it's right up there with Pixar's best. Slight irony in the "Giant Corporations are Bad" message being delivered by Disney but I'll forgive them that!

As with earlier poster watched the Pixar Story (on Sky HD Movies all week) last night and thought it was really interesting. Well worth a watch
