There are a few hotels on the Quayside directly opposite where the BNG carpark will be, Premierinn is probably the best in that price bracket but book early and pre book a parking space in their underground carpark - if you want to splash out a bit then there is the Copthorne or the Gateshead Hilton all a stones throw from the event.

there are also a few cheaper but good hotels further out where parking is still ok too and travel into town is easy via Metro.

I am going on the Sunday (Southport Airshow saturday) We can meet up somewhere if anyone fancies it (wonder if Tom's Chimera will make it?) Any one else fancy it, V8yale etc

Looks like I may be going up on Sunday morning now - from Wakefield (Straight up A1) so could meet somewhere - any suggestions?

Was planning Saturday night and staying at a friend's house, but might not be able to stop over now.

Looking at going the Sunday (bit skint so will probably only decide a few days before).

I'll probably go up the M6 to Tebay then across country to Kirkby Stephen, Bishop Auckland and then onto the A1(M)

We could meet up at the services between Sheffield and the M62, I dont know what they,re called, any idea? as there may be others coming up the M1 who we could join up with.
EDITED just realised you said A1, we could meet further upthe A1, I dont know the area have you any suggestions? Maybe North of Leeds,

Meeting point for run up is Woolley Edge Services (Northbound) just south of jct 39 M1 (near Wakefield) at 8-8.30 am.
