Which macro lens for my Nikon D300?

I need to take close up pictures with my camera, but am unsure of which macro lens to buy. Does any one have any prefereneces or advise here

Tamron SP 90/2.8 is an excellent macro lens. I have it, pictures so sharp you cut yourself. Nikon 60/2.8 is very good as well. For more reach and money the Tamron or Sigma 150/2.8s are very good. Cheap solution: dioptre screw-on lenses from e.g. Hama.
