Have a look on www.gtr.co.uk
Lots of people on there have dealt with them with no problems...From what I have seen if they source a car it is going to be in very good condition so should be nothing to worry about..

Research the car your looking for thoroughly before buying from them.
If its been modified make sure its been done properly and within the limits of the components.
Make sure you take a warranty if its on the go as well.........
There are other importers worth considering and speaking from harsh experience I would now always go for an import thats spent 12 months in the UK - this way all the little niggles will be sorted.
My skyline blew a clutch within 50 miles of being picked up from a well known importer "cough cough" - the turbo and engine followed not that long after.
Its always a risk no matter how "hyped" the company.

I bought an RX7 through them, engine lasted about 2 months before oing bang, and although I appreciate RX7's are tricky cars at the ebst of times I wasnt impressed.
To his credit Miguel tried to put the warranty into play, but dealing with the company who carry the warranty wasnt easy, and a whole lot of phone calls and hassle later I gave up on the warrany and spent £3250 getting it rebuilt near Portsmouth.
Costly venture, not sure id bother paying for the warranty again.

As said, Newera have a good rep for getting quality cars, and they're really helpful. But as with any second hand car, import or not, they cannot tell REALLY what has happened in the cars past life, You can't be sure that a car isn't going to go pop in 50 miles time, sometimes it just happens. There are other importers out there that will do it for less.
As said above, don't buy a fresh import, get one that the previous owner got fresh in the uk, so all the niggles have been sorted, as most cars will be imported with some kind of problem on them in the first place, otherwise they wouldn't of been sent to the auction Remember, the longer they are in the uk, the more likely of rust!
My '4 had been in this country for 3 years when I bought it, and one door was rotton through with rust!

That is simply not true...cars are sent to auction because of the 'shaken'. It's simply not economical to maintain older cars year after year.As said above, don't buy a fresh import, get one that the previous owner got fresh in the uk, so all the niggles have been sorted, as most cars will be imported with some kind of problem on them in the first place, otherwise they wouldn't of been sent to the auction

If you had rust, it was because you didn't get it undersealed!
Any reputable importer would include undersealing as part of the deal.
My car came from Newera although I did chicken out of buying one unseen.
It had arrived unsold and was sitting folornly in a yard. Turned out to be a good one though. Have purchased 2nd had parts and new ones from Newera and the speed and price has been exellent. Warranties are a bit of a mixed blessing. Too much small print. I had one but luckily didn't need it.

10yr old thread, but notices Newera are still plugging away. Had a shocking experience buying from this bloke back in 2013. Basically bought a car that had been on a forecourt in Canterbury for some time. Tested fine. Received a 20% discount on the car and arranged collection a week later once the car had some minor paint, fog lights fitted and uk registered. I paid directly to their account in Japan, so was not covered by uk trading standards. Once I collected the car everything was fine, until I got 20 miles from the garage back up the a2 towards London the car started badly misfiring. I called the garage in Kent who told me to drive it home and contact Miguelle. On reflection I should have taken the car back to the garage in Kent, but I did as advised and called Migulle once home. He advised me that the car was under warrently and any issues would be resolved by the cover that was sold with the car. When I called the warrenty company they informed me that as the car had broken down on the way back from collecting it the warrenty was not valid yet and this was sole responsibility of the garage the sold me the car. The fault turned out to be the mother of all intermittent electrical faults, which took a combination of 4 specialist Subaru garages, over £3000 and a lot of time to fix. I only paid 4K for the car in total.
Miguelle was utterly awful to deal with as he stood there above any uk trading law refusing to offer any money back as he was adamant the car was covered under warranty. I couldn't tell wether he was playing dumb or really was that stupid as he failed to understand basic comprehension. He threatened me with his lawyers if I publicised my dealings with newera... what a joker ... avoid x.
