When i drive a car i enjoy having a nice interior as that is where you are spending your time. We aint looking at the fancy outside. In my T350 i love the leather everywhere, the dash, the seats are the most comfortable seats ive ever sat in. 200miles and no back pain. Ive never had a car that can provide that.

I love the interior and to me its just pure class....

Now i like to swap cars every 2 years to keep fresh and interesting and ive been looking and test driving everything from BMW M3s, M5s, Audi R8's, Lambos, 911's are outdated now inside, the new Porsche Cayman is actually the best interior car ive got in yet thats not a TVR, fresh and really creative... But ive pretty much been in anything worth looking at which is fun ive had a go in to get an idea of where im going with my next choices....

I have found that i hate the interiors, even sitting in the new audi R8, compared to my TVR its just boring. Lambos are even worse. I just cant find anything that has that same...... fun and sexy feel.

So ive decided on the following, from my T350 im going to try a Tuscan 2, a Tamora and then a Sagaris and stick with the TVR route of fun, power, style and great interiors.

Anyone else thought this when jumping in other cars?

(its a weekend car by the way so i want it to feel special, i drive all sorts in the week with boring interiors and i dont think a car worth £30-£70k should have a similar interior.

Hmmm, I know exactly where you're coming from. Nothing I've seen recently has an interior that gives me the same feeling as the Tuscan. It's got that totally bespoke feel... like a work of art. You sit down and you feel as if you're about to fly an old fighter plane.

To be honest though I was a bit let down by the Sagaris, Tamora and T350 interiors (No offence to any owners of those!)... I think I was expecting something a bit more retro, and I felt that they were all too similar to each other and maybe missing that extra 'something'?

I guess thats because they are all the same shells so it was cost effective to use the same dash lay out, but i agree they should all have been a little different to each other.

Glad to see you got the silver bits instead of the gold bits on your dash.. looks fantastic doesnt it!

I find even with my modest S the dash and general cabin is miles ahead of 'modern' cars. It feels like a special place to be and not like a plastic factory.

Love the interiors, wilton carpets, but the main bit?

When you sit inside and are looking out the window as you putter along, the noise of the engine............

I spend a lot of time in Germany, and rightly so, the Germans are very proud of their car industry.
This results in them having a critical eye when it comes to "foriegn" cars.
It always amuses me when I watch them approach my Tuscan in a super market car park.
Lots of nods and smiles etc. But when they look inside I usually here things like "wow look at that, thats a bit special" or "wow, class" etc.
Even though I love my TVR's, I still have to remind my self how special they are and how lucky I am.

thumbup Completely agree!!

I have the full leather interior (Chim 450) in all magnolia. I love the way it looks, feels and especially the way it smells! The driving position is one of the most comfortable I have ever enjoyed. The six 'old fashioned' round cream dials set in a slab of mahogany surrounded by leather and enhanced by high quality brushed aluminuim minor controls make this a very special place brought back from a byegone era.

All IMHO of course!! biggrin

Looks more like you're about engage in some FTL travel in a futuristic space ship.

Its just that something that no other car manufacturer seems to think about....

We drive them, we sit in them. Why cant they put more thought into the interiors... Plastic everywhere. Its just not right when spending good money on a car.. I want 10 cows smile LOL

I know what you mean, I get in my audi and everthing is perfectly designed for optimum comfort, reliability and usability.

But its dull as dish water.

I went to blow my bonus on a Mustang the other day at a local dealer that always has quite a few in stock, spent 5 minutes sat in one, utterly dissapointed.

Cheap, tacky, boring, uncomfortable interior. (to be honest the rest of the trim on the car wasnt much better either)

Oddly I'm a bit of a fan of older Japanese car interiors, although carved from a solid lump of plastic the do like to do some nice swoopy dashboard and interesting intrument clusters. I'm thinking specifically of the Supra, RX7 and best of all the 300zx, all quite nice places to be.
