Im getting slowly angry!!!

I did a wedding yesterday, all fine, however trying to upload them we get the issue that it puts 1, 10, 100, 1000 then 2, 22, 220, etc next to each other, i can sort it in windows, but not in the uploader, or photoshop browser. It looks ok when i try to open them on photoshop, but the browser and website uploader re sort them!!

got a batch rename programe so i can change it, but just dont know what too to make it work

any suggestions asap????

Thanks

can you not number them with a sequence e.g. 0001, 0002 etc.. using four digits as the total sequence.

You need to pad them all out to the same length - e.g. 0001 rather than simply 1. That should do it.

problem I had was i had "Ctl A" F2 to rename as the name, this then put the (1) going up consecutively through the folder, photoshop browser and the web uploader didnt take it as that.

so.....heres how i fixed it.

Download "renamer by Den4b" a google search gets it.

Replace part of the filename with the exif data "DATE" this will include the
time

Open photoshop "browser"
Sort by filename
Batch rename to txt and "4 digit Ext" EG RM0001.jpg
job done, it then reads in in the correct order.

Cheers.
