Hi guys
Thinking about heading over to Nurburg in Aug/Sep and figured it would be worth swerving by Spa either on the way there or on the way back as they're not a million miles away from each other.
Anyone here done the same?
Am thinking a day at each would suffice????
Any ideas on costs in terms of cost to lap each track, recommended hotels/restaurants and any other valuable tips would be a result.

Dan, you would need to do a track day at Spa, it's not a pay as you go circuit like the Ring. Just done Spa last week & it was £300 for a day with Goldtrack. I'm over at the 'ring again the middle of August. Have a friend who lives in Spa - let me know the dates and I'll find out what track days are on. European runs days are much better, overtake either side, under braking, mid corner, much more relaxed.
I will be there for a few hours on the 14th. Let me know if your about. good to catch up with a fellow owner (altho im not in the noble)

Either gona be end of August or beginning of September but will let you know either way incase I can coincide it with fellow Nobility being out there. Am I right in thinking there'll be less traffic on the ring from Monday to Weds as opposed to over the weekend?

I was at the Ring just a few weeks back (see my 'Swan Song at the Ring' report). As someone else suggested, it is not always open to the public so check before you book. We even found that they had changed the schedule by the time we got there.
I bought an 8 lap ticket which saves you money (can't remember exactly how much), otherwise if you pay for a lap at a time it'll cost you 18 Euros a pop (if memory serves?)
We also stayed at the Ringhaus. It's a fairly basic hotel but comfortable enough and right next to the Nordschleife car park. It's run by a couple of good guys who cook you breakfast in the morning, then head off to the Ring for a few laps in their stripped out Beemer and Golf before coming back to make lunch. It's that kind of place. I wouldn't hesitate to book up there again.

I'm planning a trip to Nurburgring I have heard a few stories recently involving rule changes at the ring where people have been made to remove rear spoilers and parts of body kits. The rear spoiler removal follows someone being killed on a bike hitting a 'blade spoiler' - don't know how much truth is in all of this but i don't fancy having to remove my spoiler then going backwards off the track thanks to some ijiot on his CG125 doing 70mph into the back of a car.
Cars are required to be TUV approved (or equiv), I have read about someone with a GT3 running a cup \ RSR wing and end plates being asked to remove it but that is the only instance I've heard of.

We went in a large group and I was driving a friend's Lotus (I still have a shed). I also took Ramon's Noble for a lap which was excellent. I didn't time my laps, but no one was overtaking me in the last few - which were cracking
The cars were fine - they tested the Noble and there were no issues with noise (Roush exhaust) or spoilers etc.
