Help again please for a new owner.

I have had a price on a straight through mid section of circa £150 for my Chim, which seems a budget way to acheive my aims.

I want a bit more music from the pipes and can afford this (and not some other options)

Does anyone have any opinions (i would think so!) or advice on this issue.

It seems cheap enough, and very straightforward, but would like any thoughts or experiences before going ahead.

Noise whilst cruising will presumably be increased, but not much of an issue, given the mileage i do.

All contributions gratefully received.

Hello again Stuart,

£150 sounds about right and IMHO it makes the V8 sound that bit more throaty. Wouldn't recommend removing the main cat though!

In terms of noise TBH most of it is external, very little difference made in the cabin and even then it's mostly when under power. The pops & crackles from the pipes sound great as well.

Who is doing it for you ? I can recommend TopCats racing only about 30 min drive from MK. Warren will grumble a bit as he prefers the sound of a 'proper' sports exhaust but he will do it and his work is first class.

£150 is a fair price. I paid that to have mine done about 12 months ago and have got no regrets.

It is louder with the roof off or windows open but that's all part of the fun.

People will know you're about - usually about a minute before you actually get there..........

It's a usual thing when you don't like waiting around to pick people up. They know you are on your way and can get ready...

Well worth it. Sounds awesome thumbup
