I've been with them for a few years now, and just carried on with the same policy. I think I noticed the other day that TVR track days are no longer covered. Anybody else noticed this?

Says on page two of my policy: "Subject to an additional £750 accidental damage excess... applies for TVR Car Club organised and run track day events..."... so I'd assume covered for events as described.

From my certificate...

This policy does not cover:

Use for hiring, carrying passengers for reward, racing, speed testing, track days rallies or trials.....

I just renewed with A. Mannings last week. Along with my Insursance certificate there was a 'continuation schedule' which includes endorsement 029A - THE COVER PROVIDED APPLIES WHILST YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN A TRACKDAY EVENT WHICH IS ORGANISED AND RUN BY THE ASSOCIATION OF TRACKDAY ORGANISERS (ATDO), THE FEDERATION OF AUTO-MOTO EVENT ORGANISERS(FAEO) OR A RECOGNISED CAR CLUB OF WHICH YOU ARE A MEMBER, PROVIDED THAT THERE IS NO ELEMENT OF RACING AND/OR COMPETITION. . .
When I last checked this included TVRCC, Easytrack, MSV and Goldtrack events, and many other organisers whose events I've not attended.
I'd check with Mannings whether you have this endorsement and then with the relevant trackday organiser whether theyare members of either organisation. The ATDO list their members on their website.

A 'non-competitive trackday' - that's the M25 surely?

I've seen people get very competitive on the M25.. So maybe this should now be excluded.

IIRC Manning has always covered TVR run days, at least for the 6 years I have been with them. Other organisers, as listed by Shorts! were added a couple of years ago. When I rang to ask, most well known organisers are covered. Best to check though. I don't think the £750 excess is new (at least that is what I have always had on my policy)
