Well, 21 hours of my time, 300 odd races, 1400 odd miles all towards getting the achievement for reaching the level of Elite and guess what...

THEY RESET THE BLOODY RANKS !!!!!!

OMG, if I was in front of the Codemasters building last night with a gallon of petrol and a box of matches, I would have happily torched the place !! I also reckon I would have got away with it as I would have just claimed mental anguish to the judge.

I am still fuming now, let alone my tirade of abuse that I was shouting at the TV last night.

I am seriously considering emailing them and asking for a refund on my GRID game, or at least some compensation.

Yes it's only a game, no I shouldn't be so upset, BUT I AM frown

Honestly, who do they think they are, why reset the ranks, all that effort, I was only about 100 points off Elite and now I have to start again.

All I can hope is that myself and most people I spoke to last night will stick to their guns and never by another Codemasters product again, at least that way we will hit them where it hurts.

I could have cried frownfrownfrown

What a bunch of to$$ers, pulling that kind of st !! It's not like you can say no to the patch either frown

So, Codemasters, I hope you all have an experience today that at least gives you half the pain you have caused me !!

I take it this is just the online leaderboards, and they have not deleted the single player miles etc...

Just online as far as I could tell. I have got all the other achievements, so didn't notice tbh.

On the face of it, it's only a game but as you've put in a lot of effort to achieve a particular goal, then it's understandable. Did you contact them?

Only bough Grid yesterday but if anyone broke my memory card with Gran Turismo stuff on I would actually cry, or kill them. Way too many hours invested there. similarly with Forza. If you can get me my money back too would be appreciated, not that I'm unhappy with the game, just like money.

Not yet, thought I would wait till I calm down a bit so I could put something a bit more sensible than just death threats rofl

21 hours of effort......all down the drain frown

I was so close.............

Codescummers frown

What ar$ehole sat in a meeting and said "yes, that's a good idea, let's wipe all their scores, they won't mind" frown

I think if I could get a youtube vid of said person being lined up against a wall and shot, it may go some way to placating me smile

Why did they reset? Too many cheaters ruining the genuine scores? confused
My thoughts exactly, why ??

Seems to be no reason, yes you could get together with a bunch of mates and take it in turns to win, but it would take forever and is hardly cheating, more boosting if anything.

Funnily enough, they don't seem to have reset the lap times by the looks of it, as some are still only 30 odd seconds where people have lagged/glitched ??

It's now 28 hours since I found out, and I am still fuming.... hehe

Anyone know what the update did.

If they have fixed the handling and the 900 degree wheel mode, at least that would be a fair reason.
Why can't these games have pro (sim) and std (Arcade) this will it will cater for a lot more people. and prove they can do real physics

Also anyone else think it should have had a lot more tracks.

You can turn collisions off now, it's fixed the issue where the mileage went to a minus figure after lagging out, it fixed the number of cars driven to remove what would have been the Ferraris, it's fixed the cars driven by acknowledging the car you lost when you got the lag issue. It's sorted the lag a bit (some still had some, but not as bad), it has also sorted the lobbies so they are a bit quicker. Less time to wait between changing tracks as well.

Not sure what else, this is just what I saw....

I would give them all up tomorrow to get my ranked score back frown

I thought codemasters did die?
Last game I remember owning by them was Micro Machines on the PSX hehe
Actually, didn't they do Toca / Colin McCrae?
