130PD TDi Engine - Alternative Fuels

Just wondering if this engine can take alternative fuel? Cooking oil etc? People keep telling me you can but I'm not sure I beleive them as they aren't running it in their cars and want me to try it first!

I was watching "priced off the road" last week and they mentioned a website which you can check this against but i've been unable to find it!

Any help much appreciated.

I dont think you can with the PD engines. At least not very well anyway.

Tried a 50/50 mix with Biodiesel in my 3.0Tdi last week. Slower to start, felt a bit sluggish and a bit "lumpy".

Won't be using it again!

This thread might be worth a read, there is a guy who's been experimenting with different mixes of vegetable oil and regular diesel over the last few months, his is the 2.5 lump but it may give you a few pointers.
