I have recently bought a PS2 primarily for my 8 year old (Singstar etc..) but it came with a few 'lad's' games such as Grande Theft Auto and Gran Turismo 4 (?). There are no instructions so I just went into Gran Turismo and was immediately baffled by the number of options etc.. I may want to enter race series and build up a car etc. over time but sometimes I may just want to get a fast ish car and drive for the hell of it on the Nurgburing (sp again?) or Spa.
Can I do the latter easily?
Thanks

Try going into the arcade mode, you should be able to access most of the tracks from there (if my memory is right) and you can use a fair amount of cars.

Another option would be to send your memory card off to a kindly PHer who will upload a save file to it which would include all their cars and have all the tracks unlocked.

Thanks for replies.

Dibbers, I will have a look this week and maybe the option of sending my memory card to you would be the easiest (cheat wise) way. Thanks for offer.

I haven't the time (3 kids) to build up points etc.. by winning races, I see it as a way of de-stressing after work. So just go on for an hour or so and have a blast!

I heard somewhere (was a while back) that you can't copy the GT4 saves, it just doesn't work for some odd reason.

Good game to sit and play through if you have the time though. I've still not completed it.

Thanks Dibbers.

Madrob, I wish I did have the time. I can get quite addicted to games, When the original Doom came out I would play 4-5 hours straight, That was pre-wife and kids which changes things a little.

Quite a friendly bunch in here smile

I will call in more often now I've made contact!

I'm up to about 97%, all I have left are endurance races, one challenge and to get gold licenses (if there were licenses on it).

Haven't played it for yonks though, I got a bit bored. Great game!

ah yes the old gran turismo, many an hour spent racing round the nurburgring. we had a competition to see who could get the fastest lap. we all had to use the mclaren slr. Mine was the fastest at about 6:12 or something like that...... good times. you will become addicted soon enough. it happens to us all.
