thanks guys.
Cool Redlake, will see you there. Hopefully I can have a look at your car and mine will still be in one piece for you to look at!
I have just done a few more laps of Hockenheim and the Mintex pad upgrade is well worth doing. I know Donnington is much easier than Hockeneheim but in the dry I still think the standard brakes may struggle. Also watch out if its wet, Donnington is f**king slippery when wet.

I'm looking forward to Donington. I've still got the standard pads and at Bedford last month they went off after a few laps. I may order some Mintex.....what spec are you using C43?
I've now got a second set of TD wheels with track tyres on them, and have now fitted Goodyear Eagle F1s to my standard 17s. I guess I'll have to have the car waiting on axle stands before I leave for Donington after studying the weather forecast!!
I've raced many times at Donington, and I'm looking forward to driving the circuit befire Tilke gets his hands on it!

I imagine he is using Mintex 1144s (used by loads of the VX lot). They are a great improvement over the standard pads. They also work very well on the road. The other option is to go for Pagids however these are much more expensive and only really recommended for a higher track usage. They also eat discs!!
I know the brake setup is the same as the VX/Elise so if you can't find any under Europa just look for the VX/Elise.
I think the cheapest place currently is Camskill

I am using the Mintex 1144. They are very easy to fit although the Lotus workshop manual is not much help! You don't have to remove the calipers although at the rear you do have to take off the disc after removing the outer pad, then screw the piston back in as it is the handbrake as well. A pair of plyers in the holes will do it. Its got to be the easiers car I have ever changed pads on.
I got the pads from thorney who were as usual very helpful. I figure the more Europa owners us them the better deals we will get.
I was going to get some Toyo track tyres for the event but I think I am going to have to save the cash for the speeding tickets I am picking up on my European holiday...
