what's the point?
pretty sad that that's the best they can do in all honestly, when you consider what the competition is.
Also, I don't belibe that the SL class as you put it is pointed seperatly from the rest of the field, the reason for the SL class was to give the heavy cars a break by putting the SL cars on treaded tyres. Let's not loose sight here that the Aston N24 etc. are all very much std production cars kitted out for racing, not low volume/kit cars.

Maybe there has been a mass recall on Honda engines....

Well I've always said and I stand by my word the 2 11 with the same driver will beat a N/A Honda. Once they've finished with it I'm sure it will be a lot better even against the S/C HondaMaybe there has been a mass recall on Honda engines....

Also worth pointing out that the 2-11 in GT4 was apparently running the 280 'upgrade' engine, still get's betten by the N24/Mustang/Nissan, to put this in context, 2007 Btircar 24H qually we put up a time 5 sec's ahead on the N24 with a BOG STD NA Honda engined car (with somewhat less than 280Bhp)

Last year at spa, randy was so far ahead of the rest of the pack, including the 211's, that he could have stopped for a tea break and still won.
In the Lot race at Brands GP, randy drove an NA honda S1 elise (he sold his exige) and won by a big margin. It was a well prepped car, but actually less powerful than the 211's.
Same driver, the SC honda cars are the quickest out there at the moment, even when the power was reduced to keep within regulations. AFAIK randy was running his SC honda at less than 280 bhp to comply with regs. The 211 is a brilliant off the shelf track car, but it is not exactly the panacea of race performance yet.
Credit to Gav for his win. The man can drive, no doubt, but the fact that they have dropped out of GT3 to GT4 is somewhat telling.

But Martin wasn't racing and Gavin crashed out, that mean's without an disrespect to the other's who drive 2 11's in the Trophy their wasn't really a competitive driver in a 2 11? So that doesn't stack up
I do agree that to beat Randy in a S/C Honda Lotus Sport are going to have to spend some proper time on the 2 11, they also have to realise that enthusiasts such as us are beginning to look elsewhere unless they can produce the good's so to speak. Once this Eagle is out their let's hope they get back to racing

Ok,
That is a very special car thou to be fair, how much money has been spent on that and what was the weight? When you watch all of the other Honda'd car's in the Trophy even Andrew's their not much quicker than the 2 11
I stand by my words

explain to me then how come Randy in a DIFFERENT car, with another bog std NA Honda won outright at BHGP ending up almost half a minute ahead of the rest of the field including 2-11's?
or how come Dave Porter in his over-weight, road going NA Honda within 6th tenths of the great F1 driver in a 2-11

The blinkers are well and truly welded shut on this one.....
Don't worry Simon I am taking on board everything you've said, but your right I am a bit of a Lotus fan (Or is it fanny)The blinkers are well and truly welded shut on this one.....

I couldn't afford to run either a 2 11 or a S/C Honda in the Trophy it's telephone number's when something goes wrong I'll have to stick to class A
Are you racing anymore this year?
