Me and a couple mates went up to Llandegla today for a ride in all weathers.

Trail was very wet and muddy which made it pretty challenging. They were taking the piss as I was going so slowly on the DH bits. I think its a mental thing as Im not too bad when its dry.

Anyway here are a few pictures (im in the green top and shorts)....

I like Llandegla, I’ve been a couple of times before but only in winter (in snow...not good), but I was there last week and had a really good ride around so definitely planning to go more regularly. My only criticism is it’s a bit short (the longest route...red with all black sections) but it only takes me an hour to get there so not overly bothered. That raised wooden section in your pic is deceiving, it feels way steeper than it looks in the pic, the first time I went off it I absolutely cacked myself as you only see the down-ramp at the very last second hehe For some reason I took a really poor pic on my phone at the top of the jumps section..

Thepickle - Nice bike biggrin You think the red route with the black runs is short? wobble IT takes me a good 3 hours to get round there laugh
Yeah that northshore ramp is ALOT higher and steeper than the pictures show! When we were stood around taking pictures there a group of lads came along and were flying off the end eek

Darkslider - We were taking the piss constantly! He used to race bikes though so I guess thats what they wear laugh

3 hours?! Behave! I did it in 1 hour 40 and that includes going around the "black" jumps section 3 times! laugh When I say short, it's because I'm used to doing longer trails like "The Beast" at CyB or "Syfydrin" and they are 38km and 35km compared to Llandeglas 21km (as you probably knew). It takes me 2 hours to get to CyB and 2.5 hours to get to Nant y Arian or Machynlleth so I at least want to get home feeling like I've done something and the 5 hours driving was worth it hehe

Here's my trail from my last attempt at Co-ed - http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/481931...

Came off feeling knackered after thinking we had not done that much, until I realised that we did 600m of climbing, some of which on the black is near vertical...

Haha! thumbup No, what I should have said was, I’m far from being the fastest person around and on a fairly heavy bike and even I managed that time, believe me, I wasn’t trying to brag! laugh I get overtaken plenty, usually on the climbs.
