Hello all,

I'd like to use my new toy properly so would like some driver training.

What is the general consensus as to who to go to? I'm near Silverstone (ish).

Thanks.

We have used Ben Elliott Racing who do a lot of silverstone track days - excellent instruction and very familiar with Elises

I have used Mike Cooper recently and found his track training excellent. He is also a fabulous trainer on the road and is a ROSPA Gold instructor.

Thanks, I've heard a lot of good things about Walsh. But on road training would be useful too. Thanks all.

If you've not taken the car off the road before, then now's a great time to do it (i.e. before Autumn/Winter). Andy is talking about doing some special offers at the moment too, as his bookings are down, so get yourself booked up.

You'll have a great day and learn more about the car than you thought was possible in a day - can't recommend it enough thumbup

Do a Walshy day - then join the IAM.

Even I came out of it in one piece. Excelent tuition and nothing to hit. In fact you would have to let a blind mans dog drive in order to hit anything and then it would have to be a dumb dog.

Is it like an Oulton Park track day with everyone racing around a track??

It is an old airfield - have a look at the BoLOC's birthday vid - Walshy day is from about 10 mins onwards.

Unless of course you run in to someone else when they are stationary like I believe someone did not long ago smile
