I used to play a lot but it just got a bit silly with all the updates and stat wes. TF2 is where its at now though. Battlefield Heroes looks like it could be a laugh, and its free!

When is BF Heros out? Thats the slightly more arcade style game funded by online adverts isnt it?
should be good though - more playable and free should mean there will be a MASSIVE community!

BF2 stats hoes do get annoying, but I only ever log in for a laugh these days. Very hard to find a server where people actually squad up and obey the commander.. (and vice versa).

Yes, I play BF2 demo still and when you get serious team players, it can be an awesome game.

Heroes is out sometime this summer i think. Theres also Bad Company which looks pretty good.

Used to play it constantly... one of the best games ever IMO. Migrated from the PC to the PS3 because of the hassle of PC gaming in general so looking forward to see what the PS3 battlefield will be like

I used to play it all the time. Unlocked all the guns etc... Brilliant team game and I just love the helicopter.

Then one day I went to log in and punkbuster brought up an error message.

I checked this with them and they said I was found to be cheating and my account was reset. Now I'm not a cheating person and don't know on what basis I was accused of it.

I can't be bothered to put the hours in and rack the score back up again. So I don't play any more.

Funnily enough I'm craving to play a game like this again, just not BF2. Have looked into COD4, but I've herd the multiplayer is better in BF2.

Maybe when a new BF2 comes out I'll start from scratch again like everyone else

Still, I generally use the standard weapons as I noticed my weapons don't always appear unlocked on some servers.

I couldn't do that but that might be down to the pilot of my heli flying like a spaz. There are some amazing heli pilots out there, though. Keeping low, circling a flag so you can take out infantry without SAMs taking you out. Whenever I try that, someone always run that cheat to make the trees move about... well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I got to a point in the game that I hated walking and flying was the way forward. My copter skills got pretty damn good.

Now flying a plane, fk that. Although if you get bored, they're classic fun to try landing.

So maybe COD4 isn't for me

Not a problem even with a keyboard. I'm not very good at competently flying the F35 in hover mode, though. I've seen people fly it like in that Die Hard film. I just end up crashing.

but i went back to playing BF1942 with the Desert Combat mod much better.

Only recently got into BF2 as I used to play consoles only

Play it all the time now, just hard to find decent server

have tried the Project reality mod - which is totally different, less arcady and more tactics involved

I used to play on 50Klicks.com servers as Rednut05. Go to their website and sign up for free and they won't kick you if the need room. Bar that, cracking set.
