Just had a call from a PHer, with a tyre problem, limping towards Amiens.

Anyone know the largest performance tyre dealer in the area?

He's already put a call into the Rouen Nissan dealership who said, nowhere in Rouen, Amien would be your best bet.

Looking for a:

225/45 R18 91W Bridgestone Potenza RE040

Any suggestions appreciated.

cheers

DAZ

Edited as PHer now heading towards Amiens.

Try emailing Low Drag. He lives near Le Mans but he may know someone.

Found a cheap hotel in Amiens. Found Euromaster tyre depot, last heard of drinking beer in a curry house.

I expect him to be at the tyre depot for this mornings opening.

Update.

He spoke to four tyre depots in Amiens, all part of large national chains. Also spoke to the Nissan Dealer. Not a single tyre in the whole of France. Quickest one could be got was monday at a cost of 500 euros for one tyre!

Result. Space saver on. Autoroute to Boulogne at 56mph cruise control. Speed Ferries day return (£36). Two new tyres fitted in Dover £310 all in. Will be back in France by 8pm this evening.

Sh... Too late.

If one of you has any trouble, Binh near Paris in Courbevoie has a large range of tyres... and should be able to help one of you.
he is used to working on cars like SUV, Lotus Elise, Porsche GT3, Bentley, vintage cars...

Good to know, Longstone Tyres had a truck two years ago at Le Mans Classic...

It's not a particuarly specialist tyre. I can't believe that noone in France has this tyre.
