some exige questions

I,m looking at a new car next year and need something 'special'.
I keep coming back to the exige but i am confused as there seem to be quite a few varients.

Basically which is the hottest version s2 exige (except the gt3) ? I,m guessing its got to be an exige s with a performance pack and a sport/super sport? pack.

Is the s (with 220bhp) quite new? as all the advertised ones seem to be 06 onwards.

I,m also after some idea of a yearly running cost (1x set of tyres,pads/discs service etc assuming 8k per annum)

I,m getting excited about a white exige with black wheels

That'd be the Cup 255 I think, unless you went for a conversion i.e. Honda/Audi power, or Katana etc.

and dont bank on 8K per year on 1 set of rubber...think more like 2 sets on the rear anyway !

AFAIK Honda/Audi conversions are not available for an S2 Exige, or any other toyota powered Lotus. Unless you know something we don't!

no they are not, but if you want want you can always build your own...only a couple of clams etc...remember the MSC white car they made - the S2 Exige with SC Honda lump ? ...of course unless you are starting with a scrappie S2 for £10K ish then not much point...although 350bhp out of the SC Honda and at 810Kg vs 950Kg and about 280bhp max from the S2 Exige ..all depends on what you really want and how much you want to spend as usual

Top Spec new Exige is Exige S with Performance Pack and Sports Pack (Super Sport is now obsolete). If not then the Cup 260 is the highest 'Special Order' version".

Ben are you in swf mate? I,m sure i recognise your user name/plate. I may have seen you in an orange exige i think? Any chance of letting me have a look round one if you have one again?

Not a problem chap, you more than likely have seen me around. In fact I think that you were in my year at school (William De Ferrers)?
