Griff speedo has died a painful death. Assuming it is the sensor (which I have eventually located after much cursing), are there any adjustments I can try to revive it, and is there any way of testing it (apart from the obvious?).
Thanks in advance.

Assuming its the same as a chimaera I think the only thing worth doing is checking for loose/broken wires and ensure the sensor is as close as poss. to the castlated ring. Chances are its knackered.

I believe that something called the transducer (sender?) "air gap" can be adjusted. Apparently if it is set incorrectly it can effect the correct working of the speedo. What it should be set to and how to actually do it though, I know not!

I think my speedo is on the way out (it only works above about 60mph now) - where is the sensor? I would be grateful if you could save the cursing!

You will find the sensor (sender) close to the o/s of the diff, to the rear of a castellated ring about 4inch dia. My speedo worked temporarily (though erratically) yesterday after I had poked around, but has died again. I am about to slide under again (a tight fit without axle stands!)and see if I can clean it and/or adjust the gap - what to I haven't a clue!
Good luck - let me know how you get on.
