I have an old P7 lying about in the shed.. Not used for circa 5years but was well used before..

It also had an issue with the derailleur bending with rear tab on the frame but that were straightened out and fixed.

It has Shimano LX kit fitted on it with some half decent rims on. (not buckled)

Really Im wanting rid but as the bike cost a little bit new Im wondering if there is any value in it? (Goin towards a new motor)

Thanks

C.

probably worth more as a cleaned up bare frame.

Got any pics?

Wont be able to get pics for a little while as the shed is bursting with stuff while the kitchen is being fitted.

The frame IIRC is a large fram. Probably 21" or something!

Is it a frame corrected for a suspension fork, or for a rigid?

Old school rigid bike, and a joy to ride. Sold it to a friend whole enjoyed it as well until some scrote decided to smash it beyond repair whilst it was secured in the covered bike lock up at his work weeping

Mine was the nickel plate finish with matching forks, xt groupset and even had period annodised purple USE titanium spin stix as skewers.

Sorry took that off topic there didn't I!

Its difficult to be honest, a ten year old bike is pretty low spec compared to even a cheap modern bike. You would want to appeal to the retro crowd really and i'm afraid eBay is your best outlet there. Stick it on with a reserve and see what happens.

What Tim said.

Discs or just canti's on the frame? I'm guessing the latter

I sold my '94 Clockwork last year. Similar spec to yours.

I got £150 for it selling it on www.retrobike.com, which is probably your best bet for an easy sale.

Replaced it with an '07 P7S......very pleased with it!
