Some background for you:

My cousin is getting married on the 2nd Aug 08 and he's asked me to be his best man smile

His father (my uncle) told me that he had 5 reels of 8mm cine film taken of me and my cousin dating back to when we were both between 6 and 13 years old and could I edit some of this footage together with an appropriate sound track, instead of doing a speech - thought it was a bit different / interesting (which I agree it would be).

My problem:

How do I get this 8mm film converted to a digital format I can edit in time for the wedding?

I'm hoping there are some pearls of wisdom out there that can point me in the right direction, and maybe get some recommendations. This film is irreplaceable, so i can't afford to send the tapes to a cowboy...

Please help!!

Have a look at these people, we use them at work, they quote 10 to 14 days for cine film to DVD from time of collection. You should hopefully have an agent near you.

Hi Adam.

I'm not sure if I'm missing anything here, but which people are you refering to?

Thanks for your reply, and regards,

NICK
