LPG conversion 3.5 V8...?

Not for a TVR, but for our LDV van, which now has a rover V8.
MPG is just silly, and we have the oppertunity to get hold of a, soon to be scrapped car, which has been converted to lpg.
But, ours is running Carbs, and this one injection??
Does anyone know if this makes a difference??
