Accellerator Pedal Assembly
Discussion
I am bolting a Bias Tilton 600 series Overhung pedal box into the griffith replica But I am scratching my head a little regards what to do with the throttle pedal? The original Vixen affair was pretty hopeless and Tilton do a gold Plated one for a floor mounted pedal box, but not it seems for an overhung 2 pedal bias box!
Anyone got any ideas or know of a supplier of a reasonably priced stand alone throttle pedal assembly?
I had thought of using an M one but don't know if it would be suitable
Anyone any Ideas?
Neil.

Neil,
could you install a lengthened pivot shaft into the tilton box and fabricate a throttle pedal? That way you would still have similar/same action as the other pedals.
Alternately, use the three pedal floor mount if there is space.
Also, are you sure the overhung style is the best for your application? Do you have enough hood clearance for the master cylinders? Have you looked at tilton's firewall mount pedals?
Regards,
Bernard

I found this the other day which looks favourite at the moment.could you install a lengthened pivot shaft into the tilton box and fabricate a throttle pedal? That way you would still have similar/same action as the other pedals.

Hi Niel,
The red shed has just had a Tilton box (3 peadals) fitted with bias brake pedal. I'm sure HHC fitted the floor mount? I now have a posh hydraulic clutch for the tractor's gearbox
AP thought it quite amusing when questioned about piston sizes for the brakes - they have a spreadsheet that when the caliper details are fed in, the pistion size is calculated....it didn't do drum brakes though
I guess the tilton brake bias on the pedals and the one on the dash will get some use as we've gone for 3/4" pistons front and rear to start with!
