Fan wired incorrectly!

I recently bought my S1 and have had problems with it nearly overheating, the needle virtually in the red, especially on the motorway, and I know the previous owner had similar problems for ages from his posts on here! I checked the fan wiring this week (the fan is the engine side of the rad) - it was wired to blow, not suck! A quick trace of the wiring and switching of plugs later all is well and the cooling system is thoroughly behaving itself!
