VW 1.4 TSI 120bhp engine shortage

I was told by my VW dealer that they can't build these engines fast enough and consequently have a long waiting list are not taking orders for the time being. I was looking for it in a Golf Plus.

Anyone know any more on this?

120bhp? I thought these only came in 140 & 170bhp flavour. Surely to get 120bhp from a 1.4 doesnt need a turbo and a super charger???
Anyway, dealers will tell you all kinds of crap by way of trying to get you to buy something that they have in stock instead...
On the other hand, yes maybe there really is a shortage or some problem with them. I seem to remember Clarkson saying the engine was crap. But then he says a lot of things are crap doesn't he.

There is a 120bhp petrol turbo, no supercharger, with fuel economy and emissions like a diesel. I heard what Clarkson said but I think I'll make up my own mind. He hates air-cooled 911s after all!
