Le Mans Classic - stickered up or not?

It's my first trip to the Classic this year and i'm really looking forward to it .

What's the general concensus on stickers?

Is this the done thing or not?

A few discreet ones wont hurt but most do not bother, its not that sort of event, think Goodwood Revival with a twist.

Hoolio,

Based on my past experience, cars are not stickered for Le Classic, and if anyone does it then they will "stick out" and look a bit odd. There will be lots of older cars on the road down compared to the regular 24 heures and you would not expect them to be stickered up would you.

Think Goorwood Revival and you'll get the idea.

Hoolio, There's another thread on Le Mans re dress code. Anyway, I've been twice before and getting into the paddock in a T and shorts has not been a problem so far. However, I think "scruffy" may attract attention so don't dress down real low!. R.

At the Classic in 2006 I observed the so called dress code and was trussed up like a turkey in chinos, blazer, shirt & tie and was uncomfortable all day on the Saturday.....after seeing the dress code of others, I was a lot more relaxed on the Sunday in jeans and t-shirt!

I brooched the subject re stickering up for the classic a couple of weeks ago and got no real consensus, so I'm a doin it anyway, it don't make me a hoolygoon do it ?

Anyway, what do the French know about dressing the part. They just throw on a beret and a string of onions............

Well I am taking my 1935 Rolls from Aberdeen so I will be applying a few (tasteful) stickers for the run.

Don't see why only the new cars should have the fun.....
