1st-tickets private campsite Bleu Nord - Feedback required

We know that amongst the car clubs,there were some PH'ers camping with us this year and would like to get some feedback on the location and facilities.

Please let us know what you thought was good and where we can improve for next year.

I wasn't with the car clubs, but did stay at your site.

My thoughts on various aspects:

Location: Outside the circuit, but only 15mins walk from Maison Blanche.
Facilities: Loos and showers on site were clean and worked well. Also, no queues
Security: Seemed perfectly adequate, I'm not aware of anyone who had any trouble.
Marquee: Handy when it rained, Plasma TV was good for watching qualifying, bits of race and Euro 2008.
Bar: Cold beer and soft drinks, pretty basic but did the job.
Atmosphere: Good atmosphere in the marquee during the evenings, campsite was friendly.
Other: Presentations at Friday lunchtime...couple of team guys from Flying Lizard, a driver and someone else from Merksteijn, and the managing director of Aston Martin Racing each gave a 30min or so chat. Very enjoyable, all were open to answering questions, and gave an extra dimension to the race weekend for those interested.

All round was an enjoyable experience, would use again.

I booked with yourselves in Bleu Sud
Appreciate you re looking for feedback on Bleu Nord but thought you might be interested in Bleu Sud feedback anyway...

We turned up Wednesday morning when it was not that busy (luckily)
It was a total cock-up unfortunatly, i booked 5 camping pitches & was allocated tickets in Zone M
When we arrived we couldn't find Zone M, turned out it didn't exist which was a good start!

The Marshalls scratched their heads alot & made us wait around while they got on the radio for ages
Eventually they decided to stick us on someone elses pitches right next to some other people, so no gaps were left

Shame they didn't bother to tell everyone the same thing, most turned up & discovered their pitch didn't exist or someone else had been told to camp on it by the Marshalls
So they, not knowing what was happening(because the Marshalls didn't bother telling them) camped where they liked leaving gaps of 1 pitch or so all over the place
This obviously then caused problems because as the site got busier, people who had booked multiple pitches turned up & couldn't have the pitches all in one block

We were actually quite lucky as the pitches we were allocated were fine, even though they were nowhere near the supposed 7mt x 5mt each
Glad we booked extra space!
Some places they marked out pitches were ridiculous, right next to the ditch & about 1-Metre wide

Something you may also like to be aware of is that the area around the trees in the middle of Bleu Sud where our zone M was supposed to be, contained alot of concrete parts which would have been impossible to pitch a tent on (i only know we where supposed to be in this area as someone from your office gave me a rough idea of location when i booked)

I appreciate none of this is your fault & hope i don't come across as being happy with yourselves, i'm not
I was very happy with the info/help i was given when booking the tickets & will definitly be using you guys again next year(& would recommend others to)
Still had another great year, i just hope these plonkers who sort out the camping get their act together next year
Not holding my breath, do feel better after a good moan though....haha
