‘Actually, I’m not all that interested in the subject of photography. Once the picture is in the box, I’m not all that interested in what happens next. Hunters, after all, aren’t cooks.’

- Henri Cartier-Bresson

To adapt this to the goings on of today, are you a photo hunter, or a Photoshop cook?

I'm an etheopean, I am hungry for any kind of food be it freshly killed or cooked in a microwave. I'll even eat if its still slightly warm.

I shoot with an Olympus E3 and a Sako 223 and a Winchester 243 !

so I guess I'm a Hunter

I'm a cook these days, but I do enjoy writing a shopping list and hunting down the ingredients.

Have I mangled this metaphor enough yet?

I enjoy both.

I consider myself a mediocre hunter who misses lots of opportunities. I keep trying because the buzz of getting it right sustains me during the long famines I have to go through.

At the moment, my cooking style is more Fanny Cradock than Heston Blumenthal frown

Hunter mainly, but I will 'trim/dress' the catch a little.

I'm a happy eater. I'll photograph anything for money hehe and the less time I spend cooking it the better.

If you're on a job then you can't always rely on being a hunter - here's an example. The hunter approach wasn't going to work because I was 100 miles from home in unfavourable weather, and had to produce something. I could have done more to get it right in-camera (grad ND filters on sky, keep camera level to avoid distortion), but I like the flexibility of doing it all in PS.
