Peugeot or Audi to win?

It looks like the Peugeots are 3 secs a lap quicker than the Audis, this is about 5 Laps over the 24 hours.

So will all 3 Peugoets have 5 laps (17 minutes) of truble or will Audi sneak another win?

I think 1 of the Peugoets will survive for a win this year.

It could be down to fuel economy and the Peugeot crew are already ready for one of the cars.

yeah, Audi not looking as strong this year... am i right in thinking they're pulling out after this years race as Eurosport coverage implies that's the case??

I don't think it was an R10 that hit the MG, was it? I know Carlton thought it was but Mark Cole corrected him IIRC.

I would like to see the French cars win, It will then give those German cars something to think about and hopefully make it a more intresting race next year

After the 2nd Pitstops and McNish is only 25 seconds behind the Peugeots.

Over 24Hrs that equals 8 to 9 mins, but McNish is by far the quickest of the Audi drivers so far in race trim.

I still think that Peugeot have this in the bag by 15 mins (4 Laps) unless they all run into trouble at some stage.

Hats off to Allan McNish - he's just relinquished the No.2 R10 to Capello after 2h46! Let's hope Dindo can preserve the lead.

What a race, Audi deserved that, in the begining i was routing for the french cars, but oh boy the way Mc Nish went for it at the start,he deserved that

I wanted Peugeot to win because I can't stand the sight of another Audi win. I am happy for Allan but, I want someone now to develop an Audi beater, as fast as the Peugeot but more reliable!

The peugeots seemed to have more offs than the Audis! Perhaps the team drivers need to take the responsibility?

Audi had far better pitwork and strategy all through the race

the gamble to send Minassian on slicks near the end backfired badly as he ended up slower than the Audi when previously he had beentaking 4-7 seconds out of him

They've had lots of practice, for the past 9 years!

Peugeot should've won the race, no questions. They were quicker, I missed how Allan's car got back out in front! Dindo Capello took the lead and promptly lost it again just before I went to bed. The Peugeots were the better overall package. Its boring for the home spectator to watch another Audi victory. I hated seeing Peugeot winning twice in 2 years the first twice I went to La Sarthe, the only saving grace the 2nd time was seeing the XJ220s win their class!
