Bike rack for Audi Cabriolet

Can anyone tell me the best bike rack for an Audi A4 Cabrio without a towbar please?

Mate of mine got one for his A3 from Halfords. Really nice quality actually, and doesn't cover the plate/lights.

Worth a look.

An A3 hatchback will have a very different rack to a saloon type cabriolet boot. I've yet to find a suitable one for an e46 coupe/convertible, but they all hang over the lights and therefore mean extra electrics & hassle attaching.

The towbar option seems to be one of the only ways, but for £200+ hardly worth it.

I bought one for my RX8 but never got around to using it. Seems as if it is designed well and ideal for coupe's/saloons rather than hatchbacks.

Obscuring lights and plate - I've never really worried about that and never been pulled over for it. Is it that big of a deal?

The police can and will do you for obscuring lights & number plates. (I was stopped and given a warning & producer and told to go home ASAP when I borrowed my friend's rack).

Well we get 2 bikes on this one (there is room for 3 at a squeeze), take the wheels off and bungee cord the chains together, and the lights and plate are completely unobstructed.

It might fit yours, it might not, but I do know he said they also do one that would fit mine (boot like yours) that holds the bikes high above the bootline.
